About this video:
In this video, we explore the procedure for inspecting a commercial sloped roof, highlighting the key differences between residential and commercial roof inspections. The video explains that residential inspectors typically walk on sloped roofs. Commercial inspectors have a different approach due to industry expectations and safety concerns. Commercial inspectors are not required to walk on the roof by the ComSOP. Instead, they rely on three different inspection methods, including:
- Walking the perimeter of the building from ground level.
- Assessing from a ladder without dismounting.
- Using a drone.
- Using a selfie stick or inspection camera pole.
By avoiding the need to walk on the roof, commercial inspectors can mitigate risks while still providing a comprehensive evaluation.
