Curriculum Overview
This course reviews who your potential clients are as a commercial property inspector, and how to serve them more effectively, including building owners and managers, buyers and sellers, commercial lease tenants, financial institutions, insurance providers, and government agencies.
You’ll learn key inspection focus areas and how to align your communication, services, and reporting with different client goals, such as due diligence, capital planning and budgeting, risk management, or regulatory compliance. By the end, you’ll understand inspection motivations, client and other stakeholder types in commercial real estate, and what drives their decisions to better serve each one.
Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Understand the roles and inspection priorities of building owners and managers, buyers and sellers, commercial lease tenants, financial institutions, insurance providers, and government and other public agencies.
- Identify the key concerns, liabilities, and decision-making factors that influence each client type’s interest in a property or inspection.
