About this video:
This video demonstrates how to inspect the main systems and components in a commercial kitchen, including wall, ceiling, and floor finishes, Type I exhaust hood, walk-in refrigerator, and fire safety elements (manual actuator, fire extinguisher, and fire suppression system). The inspection follows the International Standards of Practice for Inspecting Commercial Properties (ComSOP). Note that an inspection adhering to the ComSOP is visual-only. Inspectors are not required to remove ceiling tiles and baffles in hoods or test and operate systems. Inspectors may choose to exceed the Standard based on their comfort level and client’s needs.
