How many continuing education hours do Florida home inspectors need?
According to the DBPR Rule, Florida-licensed home inspectors are required to complete at least fourteen (14) hours of Continuing Education credits prior to the expiration of their license. Florida DBPR requires licensed home inspectors to renew their license every two years before July 31st. Twelve (12) hours must be based on the components of a home (“General”), and two (2) hours must be based on hurricane wind mitigation (“Hurricane”).
