CCPIA News - Certified Commercial Property Inspectors Association

BOULDER, Colo. (April 28, 2026) — The Certified Commercial Property Inspectors Association® (CCPIA®) has published an online course in partnership with Commercial Property Information Exchange (CPIX), a commercial real estate platform operated by the Commercial Board of REALTORS (CBOR) and used by brokers, agents, and industry professionals.

The course is now available on CPIX’s website and introduces its members to:

  • International Standards of Practice for Inspecting Commercial Properties (ComSOP)
  • Purpose, benefits, and role of inspections across commercial real estate transactions
  • CCPIA’s public directory that lists certified inspectors nationwide

This initiative reflects CCPIA’s efforts to expand awareness of commercial property inspections, the ComSOP, and the role inspectors play alongside brokers and other professionals. It also shows industry professionals where to find certified commercial property inspectors and how their services apply to buying, selling, leasing, maintaining, and managing commercial real estate.

Titled The Importance of Due Diligence Inspections, the one-hour course is taught by Rob Claus, CCPIA® Director of Education. The course has been approved for one hour of elective continuing education (CE) credit through the Commercial Board of REALTORS (CBOR). Learn more at CPIX.net.

Presentation slides and a copy of the CPIX course recording will soon be available to CCPIA® members at no cost to customize and use in their own classes with commercial real estate professionals.
