Inspection of Commercial HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical Systems Workshop Summary
This workshop will cover concepts and inspection procedures that every commercial property inspector should understand and be familiar for assessing HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
During the first session, participants will learn about various HVAC units, including split-style, packaged, air handling, variable air volume, mini split, hanging gas furnace, space heaters, infrared tube heaters, boilers, waste oil recovery, flue systems, and evaporative cooling. They will also learn how to identify and inspect common issues associated with these units.
After a lunch break, the workshop will continue with a session on plumbing. Participants will learn about supply systems, backflow prevention, waste systems, gas systems, water heaters, restrooms, other fixtures, fire sprinklers, and special systems. They will learn how to identify and inspect common issues associated with these systems and fixtures.
Finally, the workshop will conclude with a session on electrical systems. Participants will learn about single vs. three-phase power, service, main distribution gear, clearance, panels, devices, distribution, transformers, and generators. They will learn how to identify and inspect common issues associated with these systems.
