There are two viewpoint approaches that commercial property inspectors should employ to assess cracks:
- Micro viewpoint: Assessing the building from close proximity.
- Macro viewpoint: Assessing the building from a distance.
Each approach provides inspectors with different information. While the micro viewpoint may limit the inspector’s view and understanding of identified conditions, the macro viewpoint can provide a broader perspective. Utilize both to avoid misinterpretations of conditions.
