BOULDER, Colo. (May 23, 2022) — The Certified Commercial Property Inspectors Association – CCPIA – has hired Certified Master Inspector® Rob Claus as its full-time Director of Education. He is moving to Boulder, Colorado to join the organization at its headquarters in July 2022. CCPIA is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization and federally tax-exempt membership trade association for commercial property inspectors. It focuses on providing online, on-demand courses and hands-on training classes to its members, as well as business success tools for novice and experienced inspectors.

Claus has been an active member of the inspection industry for 32 years, performing residential inspections and commercial property inspections, and teaching inspection-related workshops and classes nationwide. He is a longtime member of both InterNACHI® and CCPIA, and has become one of CCPIA’s leading instructors and published members. Claus joins CCPIA from his position as Managing Director of the Commercial Division and Director of Training and Development at The BrickKicker in Naperville, Illinois. His extensive knowledge and experience in inspecting, teaching, and management will provide CCPIA members with new resources to excel as inspectors.

“The past 23 years of my experience in the inspection space I have proudly spent with The BrickKicker. During the last six years, I have focused much of my efforts on building the inspection side of our business, and teaming up with CCPIA to develop education for the industry as a whole,” says Claus. “I will be ever grateful to the owners and leadership at The BrickKicker, and I am looking forward to bringing this real-world experience to CCPIA. My goal is to help create content and resources to propel the CCPIA into the future,” he says.

CCPIA leadership is delighted to welcome Claus to their team full-time.

“Rob is knowledgeable about what it takes to become a successful inspector in the current market, especially home inspectors looking to branch out,” says CCPIA Founder Nick Gromicko. “This is really going to be good for the industry.”

CCPIA Executive Director Maggie Aey says, “Rob has been a great mentor to many members, and his experience has proven to be very impactful in teaching our in-person classes. I look forward to working together full-time.”
